SkyChat is a WhatsApp Business messaging platform operated by the SkyChat team (referred to as “we”, “our”, or “us”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use our dashboard, APIs, webhooks, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). It also covers your obligations when you send or receive WhatsApp messages through our platform.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

  • Account data. Name, email, phone number, company name, billing details, and credentials used to authenticate you.
  • WhatsApp message content. Message bodies, media URLs, message IDs, direction, status, timestamps, and related metadata.
  • Contact data. Customer names, phone numbers, profile names, tags, custom fields, and interaction history.
  • Usage data. Dashboard activity, feature usage, API calls, and error logs.
  • Device and connection data. IP address, browser type, operating system, and referral URLs.

3. How We Use Information

  • Route, store, and display WhatsApp conversations in your team inbox;
  • Send outgoing messages via the WhatsApp Cloud API on your behalf;

  • Provide customer support and respond to inquiries;
  • Send important service updates and notifications you may opt out of at any time.

4. WhatsApp and Meta Platform Data

SkyChat integrates with Meta’s WhatsApp Cloud API. Message data travels through Meta’s infrastructure in accordance with Meta’s platform terms and policies. We do not control Meta’s data processing, but we only use WhatsApp Business data as instructed by you and as necessary to provide the Services. Your use of WhatsApp through SkyChat is also subject to Meta’s WhatsApp Commerce Policy and WhatsApp Terms of Service.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We may share data with:

  • Service providers. Third-party processors that help operate our platform under strict confidentiality obligations.
  • Meta / WhatsApp. When you send or receive messages, relevant data is transmitted to Meta as required by the WhatsApp Cloud API.
  • Legal authorities. When required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
  • Business transfers. In connection with mergers, acquisitions, or asset sales, where we will notify you of changes.

6. Data Retention

We retain account and message data for as long as your subscription or account remains active, and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request account deletion by contacting support.

7. Security

SkyChat uses administrative, technical, and organizational controls to protect data, including encryption in transit, restricted access controls, and secure credential storage. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights and Choices
